Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing is most useful when it communicates functional relationships and provides a practical basis for manufacturing and inspection. Datum strategy, feature control, and tolerance selection should reflect how a part locates, mates, moves, and is verified.

DFM / DFA

Let process inform geometry.

Design for manufacturing and assembly means considering process capability, material behavior, tooling and fixturing, joining, assembly sequence, access, serviceability, and inspection early enough to influence the design—not after release.

A/W + RTS

Respect regulated decisions.

Airworthiness and approval for return to service depend on applicable requirements, approved or acceptable data, inspection, documentation, and authorized judgment. An A&P certificate does not make every determination universal; work and sign-off remain bounded by the task, the data, certificate privileges, and any required additional authorization.
